I spent the better part of the day exploring the grounds of a large Temple in Central Thailand. There were many sights to photograph but I found myself drawn to these seven figures. It is clear that the artists instilled character and purpose into every detail but there was more, something beneath the sculpted surfaces which lived on. After standing guard for so many years, what would these statues say if they could speak? I do not know for sure...but as I took these photographs, they sung to me of community, anger, war, resolve, peace and enlightenment.
